I often think about this. The worst people will work on CBDCs while the best people work on bitcoin. Bitcoin will out compete and kill any attempt at CBDCs to gain adoption eventually killing it off.
Man I think its more than just the Euro its the whole swift system. Swift standard ISO20022 completion of the cross border payments and reporting plus. Looks like by Nov 2025 they want to group in identifiable and sensitive data into transactions. Sounds like a international CBDC.
This is also part of the push to enforce digital ID's, governments are doing things like tunneling people and businesses into registering for digital ID to use online tax services and making it near impossible to use those services another way.
