Does every bitcoin node have an associated bitcoin address? Or can a node be run without an address?

Not all bitcoin core has by default a address.

The node doesnt require an address but you canโ€™t use it to move coins unless you create one.

You can run many other cli functions without a proper wallet.

Yeah, I understand. Was just showing that a node doesn't need a wallet โœŒ๏ธ

"Bitcoin Core, starting with ..., will no longer automatically create a default wallet on startup. So, you will need to manually create one. But if you're running an older version of Bitcoin Core, a new wallet has already been created for you, in which case you can skip ahead to Create an Address."
