Interesting clip where an accomplished YouTuber tries to wrap his head around #Bitcoin and #lightning in El Salvador.

One for the devs and product managers!

Hilarious. People need education on Bitcoin.

What about extracting away bitcoin or lightning? Maybe it happens organically

I just think people need to reboot their perceptions and start over. That's easier said than done though.

NGL, this is a barrier of entry to a lot of people, especially in places where custodial Lightning wallets are basically unavailable.

It’s a tough one, taking a music perspective, you have at best 5 seconds to create an impression on someone and they either like it or they don’t. I imagine UX is similar. Nodes are a big hurdle! Custodial on Nostr sounds like a great entry point, minimal friction.

Nostr could help change the minds of those we who already used up their 5 seconds of attention on Bitcoin 5 years ago.

Videos also nearly a year old!

For me, Lightning is the default way to use bitcoin. When I tell someone to pay me, I don't give them an on-chain address. Lightning is real bitcoin and more people need to understand this.

What an actual idiot

😎

devs and product managers know. it's just not an easy problem to solve. things would be much simpler for normies if apple pay and google pay worked like strike and you could pay for things in bitcoin using cuckbucks.

Decent onboarding plan tbh

Strike should do a marketing campaign saying make sure you have Strike installed and your wallet loaded before heading to El Salvador. You literally just open Strike and swipe right to pay for things in bitcoin even if you don’t have any bitcoin. Without the ability to tap to pay, I’m not sure if the UX gets any simpler than that.
