Bones, bones, bones... Seems like we always have ridiculous amounts of bones in the chicken runs. Deer, rabbit, and chicken bones to be specific. A few years ago, I started charring them in the firepit. Followed by crushing them and sprinkling them in the gardens. Supposed to be high in phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, and other trace minerals

Very relatable. We have plenty of sheep's heads and feet scattered around the orchard.

Most other bones i make bonebroth from. Cookes them for days until porous and fragile. The chops the up with a cleaver or hammer before feeding them to the chickens. This seems to work pretty good.
