Yes! This reminds me of Patrick Henry arguing against adopting the US Constitution asking where they got the right to claim to speak for "We The People"? It was the start of collectivism.

We are the government. We voted for it. What it does, it does in our name.

I have issues with that title but “we” isn’t one of them.
