You could install strfry, and then run a strfry stream and/or sync for your pubkey against another relay that you regularly post to.

have been trying to install stfry with nix. thanks for posting this!
No problem, I don't use nix often, but I wrote this to see what it's packaging was like and learn it a little bit. Feel free to submit it to the repo, I didn't end up doing that because the git clone was too much for my bandwidth..
