I can happily say that my brother & I were intrigued & very quickly sucked in on first contact. Our shared interests in economics & bittorrent just kinda made for the perfect storm.

Same here, I had not heard of bitcoin until 2021. Then, after 3 months of being a crypto moron, I saw the light and ascended into bitcoin without lube and became a changed man forever, willing to die on hills and such.
