Does anyone know if this is Mullen or is it a similar looking plant?

👀like something to 🚬😉🎢

It looks like mullein and looks fuzzy. But also doesn’t look like mullein 😂 hopefully someone can confirm

This is mine to compare. It does look the same

I meant doesn’t. Just a little different

thanks the plant id apps I have say mullein and it is fully but I want to be sure I'm not 100% I could always wait and see if it sends up a yellow stalk (i think that will help confirm). I believe this plant was in the same area last year and got weed wacked down. Not sure if that helps to identify it

It does look like Mullein. Just be aware that if it's not a second year plant it won't send up a stalk, but it kind of looks like it may be getting taller already, but can't really tell from the pictures.

I need to find some things to do with it. I thought salve but sounds like you mostly use the flowers for that, and the leaves are used for tea. May have to try to become a tea drinker

Dry them and save it for tea in winter, it's helpful for cold and flu!

Thats the plan, I have 4 plants behind my garden and know of a few more on the path I like to bike on so we will let those get bigger before harvesting some leaves.

I've been eyeing some as well, I don't have any on my property but I've found a few off the beaten path that I'm waiting so I can harvest seeds, since I have enough in my apothecary for this winter.

Looks like it.

Here's a picture of one that is growing into a stalk and it does look like yours might be.

The native Americans used to use that plant to tell how harsh the winters would be around here. The height would indicate the level of snowfall in the coming winter.

So far it seems to ring true based on what I’ve noted out my way in zone 6.

I'm going to have to pay attention to that!
