"Peer Reviewed" Is actually kind of a joke. I know some will hate me for saying it, but yes scientific research is controlled, and a lot of research papers actually leave out the real crux of discoveries in order to patent it.
Some of the really good discovered were either suppressed or 'cancelled'

Unless it benefits the power structures via directly or through partnerships, it never sees the light of day.
