I'm migrating all my tweets from X to Nostr.

How have you handled this? Did you create a separate account for archived/moved posts, or did you integrate them into your current account?

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Why?

Start anew on nostr. No one cares about historical posts.

Well I do :) I want to own my posts. I don't want X to decide that my posts are removed or blocked

Good enough reason, but honestly the only way to know your historical posts will remain is to run a nostr relay as a local archive.

There is no guarantee that historical posts on nostr will persist unless you persist them.

There is just a low chance of getting censored on Nostr due to its distributed nature.

Different things. #themoreyouknow.

Your question gives me the response I want :)

I don't see the point of it since X won't let you collect a full record

It's good to back up what data they allow you to, but posting it all seems like it would just invite psychological manipulation to be done to you or your followers based on incomplete snippets of past conversations where you might not even be about to recover the missing context

*able to recover

need edits on nostr

Why not full posts? Will X cut my posts in archive?

I'm not sure if your own content will be missing, but if you're replying or quote posting, there will be missing context to your replies and quoted posts

I do some migration showing orginal

That might keep working if your threads were never too connected to other people's posts

Well following the 80/20 or 90/10 rule. I'm sure 90 or 95% of my posts will be fine.

I feel like one out of context post could cause an issue but maybe you're right and I'm overthinking it 🤙
