i haven't really looked into the topic of identity theft, so could you elaborate on how digital id's make it that much easier compared to SSN's?

I'm not sure how they plan to secure the digital id but generally when someone else provides your identity it is subject to potential theft. In more sophisticated systems, like with facial recognition, theft may be mitigated but government abuse is so much easier and automatic.

If someone steals your ID number, you can get a new number. When someone steals your ID biometrics, you can't change that.
It has reached the point that one can't travel without a digital surveillance ID.
Soon it will be to the point that one cannot buy or sell without a digital surveillance ID. All the globalists have to do is eliminate cash, and then attach a programmable blockchain currency to the surveillance ID
They piloted this in China and are won't towards this goal with things like the EU digiral wallet.
