Can we just make it a punishable law that you can't block a road because of protesting? People who sit in the middle of the street are the worst.

What most of the protestors don't understand, is that when you're part of a movement, you *want* to get arrested. It gives your message to the press, and allows your arguments to be heard in court. Most modern protestors are not part of a movement though. They are just going through motions with no understanding.
