Completely unrelated … I gather you’re a lawyer. And, I realize asking this a bit of a shot in that dark, as there are many specialities in law, but do you know if there is a chance the US govt never reopens?

It’s got nothing to do with lawyers really but the word is the administration would love to go a full 61 days so they can start permanently laying people off. Entitlement payments are in danger so that’s a big lever for republicans to get the Democrats to bend on what they want so this week could be interesting. But this is just my opinion.
