What's the lowest friction (good UX), best outcome (e.g. lowers spam, surfaces desirable content) implementation of #WoT we have on nostr today?

What would good look like in your view?

The problem is WoT

Terse isn't going to get us there.

The social graph is a metric which can be manipulated, while creating a chicken and egg problem for new users

Complex data analysis is necessary

OK. And what would best replace WoT, then?

Something which does not exist yet but could be built just like how we built WoT

I refer you back to my original note: today.

For me one yuge positive on WOT front is nostr:npub10r8xl2njyepcw2zwv3a6dyufj4e4ajx86hz6v4ehu4gnpupxxp7stjt2p8 “your friends a.b,c, d use app X”

“People m,n,p zapped app X”

Yes. The potential is huge. I have about 60-70% of my apps installed via zapstore.

Zapstore is great. I'm impatient about updates tho so if the app isn't directly signed onto zapstore, I just use Obtainium.

nostr:npub1cl3sp6c79979xvw027hpxp953edda66kcjfdnazsf99nn62whcuq6tzfpv what do you mean?

App updates are too slow on ZS, and faster with obtainium?

As far as I'm aware, apps not natively signed by the dev are instead signed by nostr:nprofile1qqs83nn04fezvsu89p8xg7axjwye2u67errat3dx2um725fs7qnrqlgzqtdq0 and you have to wait for him to sign the latest apk. If you use Obtainium, you're pulling the updated apk straight from GitHub.

This keeps me up at night. I’ve been playing with a simulator looking for the right formula. Unfortunately I don’t have an answer yet.
