It's actually insane how many random phrases throughout our culture were formed around junk food.

"Piece of cake"

"Sugarcoat"

"Eye candy"

"Icing on the cake"

"Honey" (referencing a lover)

Countless others...

I HEREBY PLEDGE:

From now on, I will do best to stop myself from using these phrases, and instead substitute a version that doesn't normalize poison in our day-to-day culture.

Officially kicking this off by changing "Icing on the cake" to "Butter on the steak"

Who's joining me?

(Pro tip: "steak" rhymes with "cake", so you've got an instant freebie that will cover many of them)

Did you just quote honey as a junk food?

I'm in.

Respectfully, I would say honey is not junk food but my God you're right, its insane how we normalise poison. I shudder to think about kids parties full of jelly ice cream cake etc and its unthinkable to NOT do that!!!
