They were always the perfect place for spare coins.
Also where am I supposed to spit my gum or stuff candy wrappers in the back seat of the van?
Same with cigarette lighters from what i've seen.
Yes, but we get to retain the 12v auxiliary port in what is possibly the world's dumbest accidental standard.
I did notice that those are gone but somehow never gave a thought to the missing ashtrays, possibly because they we replaced by cup holders.
