Google adding a Forum filter for content, basically just site:reddit search but hopefully it will include other forum sites too, like Bitcoin talk, stacker news and any nostr clients that will play in this space

If your client does focus on forum style content, consider adding DiscussionForumPosting schema to your page templates so the Goog gets it

No ones forcing you to use Google, use another search engine, this is just for someone who has a forum and might want to get some traffic to their site, relax

But that's the thing. Google *is* forcing us to use Google. Google is there when you browse the internet, whether you know it or not. Whether you consent to the analytics or not. And that's not the only problem. Google is also the gatekeeper of the Internet. If a site is not indexed by Google, it doesn't really exist.
