I'm at the gas station.

I fill my car.

I pay.

I go back to my car.

My key can't be turned around to start and blinks red.

Now I'm standing here in everybody's way.

Great Saturday

What happened next?

Still standing here πŸ‘€

Have you tried hitting the keys on something? (Seriously)

Might be empty batteries

Batteries are fresh. Potentially the issue. Needs resynchronization. Somehow.

Make and model?

Are you driving retarded car?

I'm driving 1998 car πŸ˜….

What make & model? Also are you still stuck πŸ˜‚

Wiggle the steering wheel?

Something with the 1998 electronics of the key I think.

These electronic keys are the worst idea.

That actually helps.... because the steering lock is connected to the ignition in some vehicles.

Sounds like a problem with the immobilizer

Ignition circuit open ,......maybe jumping the starter cuts it on?

It's the key for some reason. Got fresh batteries last week.

Hope you got a "Buy Bitcoin" bumper sticker. Open up in front of the angry crowd like: " Ladies and gents, now that I got your attention, let me tell you that there is no second best. Now let me explain a bit more thoroughly..."

My ignition switch broke in my old wagoneer at the gas pump one day. I had to hot wire it to get home. Instead of replacing the ignition switch, I wired up a toggle switch on the dash for power and a push button for the starter. One of a kind.

Key won't physically turn?

Force steering wheel ontle direction, try to turn key. If not, other direction.

But maybe I misunderstood.

It's a weird key where you actually don't use the metal part but some light.
