Only time I had any issue was before I went low carb & then carnivore. I was consuming far less protein than I do now, but I was eating some sort of corp soy protein bar & ended up with gout, which I suspect had more to do with oxalates & other plant trash. ~300g of protein daily (from steak & eggs) for years now & zero problems. I also run in barfoot shoes & wear them everywhere which is much harder on my feet.
