I noticed my reflection the other day while laughing with my children and saw crows feet and other wrinkles appear. I didn't shudder. I smiled because I know they're a badge of wisdom and courage.

I don't talk about this with anyone really, but I don't dye my hair, get my nails done, have Botox or plastic surgery. I get my hair cut once a year. I paint my toe nails at home during the warm months. I don't wear make-up unless it's a fancy event (I can only really tolerate lipstick at this point). I say all this because it wasn't a conscious decision. It was financially driven at first, but then I just started to see how beautiful we are naturally and wanted to embrace that. Now, don't get me wrong, I have tattoos and I'm not opposed to more. Same with piercings. But each person has their thing, but embracing the natural aging process has become mine.
