🌿 Week 19 Co-op 🌿

🎁🎅🎄 We enjoyed our 4th indoor meet with Christmas bingo and a tacky sweater craft. It was bittersweet because it was our last meet of the year and my partner in crime Ms. Amber wasn't able to join us due to surgery. Luckily we have amazing families in our co-op that helped me put together a "healing" gift basket for her. Once we got home we read the Nativity story and completed a sticker craft. One of Santa's helpers mailed us a letter from Santa too!🎄🎅🎁

I read a story about community and giving to those that are less fortunate. Then we decorated Christmas cards to donate to CURE Childhood Cancer and painted salt dough ornaments. We can't wait for Ms. Amber to heal and join us in January. ♥️

6 months ago I couldn't have imagined my teaching skills being used to lead a homeschool co-op. I feel like God had his hand in this.

🎄🍬🦌 We enjoyed our 3rd indoor meet with storytime, a reindeer rhyming game, candy cane name craft, & playtime. 🦌🍬🎄

We had a weekend full of birthday celebrations. We hosted our friend's daughter's 1st birthday party on Saturday and celebrated my birthday on Sunday. 🎉

Today I turned 32. I am blessed beyond measure thanks to my husband. This was my first birthday as a stay at home, homeschool, mom. I can't wait to see what the next year has in store. Cheers to another year. 🎉

Maybe I'm in my feelings, but dang it hurt to be cussed at by a family member arguing about public education. I just said I and another family member have been part of the system so we might have more insight. However, I didn't want to argue their socialist stance so they got upset.

It is truly scary when folks rely on the state to the point that they don't think they can do better. But in the same breath praise what I've done through homeschooling...

🦃🇺🇸 We used pipe cleaners and beads to count 1-6 in progression on turkey "feathers" and decorated Veterans Day cards. Ms. Amber dropped them off at the American Legion yesterday afternoon. 🇺🇸🦃

We made butterfly antennas and learned about the life cycle of a butterfly in preparation for our field trip to a butterfly conservatory! 🦋

I don't think salt really plays into my morning routine other than I enjoy the taste with the lemon juice. I mainly bought it for cooking/seasoning and an afternoon cocktail aimed towards the female dip in cortisol (to avoid drinking more coffee).

We attended our first science lesson at our local swamp today!

We learned about ovals in nature and completed various activities such as: observing oval shaped objects around us, painting a turtle, reading a story, a nature walk, & games.

I'm so glad I found this program and can't wait for our next class in September.
