Because that leaves out wallets that can do payjoins but don't have bip47 support. On the top of my head I can only think of the joinmarket wallet (maybe there are others??)

Besides, if the payer can use your paynym, you don't need any software running πŸ˜‚

Yeah but my point was that btcpay supports payjoins without requiring bip47 support which potentially increases the scope of good practices being adopted by non-samourai/sparrow/stack users:
