#[0] and #[1] you are both doing such great work educating the pre-bitcoiners of the world and was wondering what you think about writing a piece on the recently announced IMF Unicoin?

When we step back and ask ourselves, ok why are they not just building on top of existing coins like #Bitcoin, Ethereum 🤮, Solana 🤮, etc. etc? Whenever someone starts a coin new project it's always about **control**. The creator wants to do something different and give themselves control over the protocol, control over the money supply, etc... because, they just can't change Bitcoin. The fact we have so many sh*tcoins just goes to show how perfectly unchangeable Bitcoin is.

So now to the recently announced IMF Unicoin. It utilizes a Proof-of-Stake like consensus protocol, and of course they promise the world while not mentioning the fine print that this would give them unilateral control of the ledger this coin utilizes. How much will be created? Who decides on monetary policies? Who decides on when the protocol changes? Of course they don't describe any of these things in their announcement, because it would hint at the awful truth behind the whole project. More control and even more power over money, the foundation of our civilization.

Interesting - sounds like you’re better equipped to write it better than I am!

My beat is trying to share stories of bitcoin doing cool shit around the world.

Although I’d love to, I don’t have the resources or time to make undertake investigative stories or explainer pieces.

It’s not in CoinTelegraph’s remit and i know this because I’ve tried… a lot!

I agree with #[1] that you would write an excellent article on this subject matter. I recently did one on CBDCs and briefly touched on the IMF backed project, feel free to use any info that is useful
