All this mention of time and clocks reminds me of a fascinating little (massive) project involving a giant clock being built inside a remote mountain.

It ticks once a year.

Chillida, spanish sculptor had a project involved a big mountain and a clock. By the way, Amazon was trying to built the most slowly clock in the world... I will search the reference...
