Jesus said tax collectors are mentally ill, and should quit:

Jesus words exactly were:
“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”"
It says so right there in the article.
But the author tries to twist them with his own interpretation lol
Who, then, was Jesus applying his words to? In the context of the biblical story, who is Jesus pointing to as being sick, and who as being "righteous?" How do you interpret his words?🤔

He is comparing sinners to the sick and himself to a doctor.

The tax collectors. But he is not calling them mentally ill. He is calling them spiritually ill.
Big difference. Often enough the mentally ill cannot control their compulsions. Sinners can, we just dont WANT to....

I would maintain that living in denial of the reality that tax collection is immoral (because it is theft) is clearly a form of insanity.
I guess some are in denial.
The others are simply ignorant.

There are people out there with SERIOUS issues like I would bet satoshis that there are some individuals PROUD of the fact they work for the IRS and are like, “I made it, mom!”
Virtually ALL IRS employees go by psedonyms. Most of them are violating citizen rights, and would be personally subject to lawsuits for acting "under color of law."😠😡🤬
