There is some truth to that, but we must always remember that the State and powers that shouldn't be, have spent a lot of time, effort and our money on promulgating a system to constantly steer us away from ideas that would threaten their rule. People tend to trust other people if they don't know that there is a reason not to trust them. The system is self reinforcing to a very large degree because most people either take the easy way or really can't see any other way of being.
