Core dev process = aristocratic.

Knots dev process = autocratic.

#Bitcoin Core is more decentralized, even when you disagree with it's aristocracy.

Turning the entire network over to an autocratic dev process is going to end badly.

This is a warning.

Nothing is being turned over to anything. Anyone can fork the code or reimplement it. Knots is a code fork. No reason for them to make incompatible code that causes the blockchain to diverge. The correct chain is always decided by the hodlers.

Yeah but knots is a minority and probably always will be

Actually Knots has more eyes on it than Core since it follows the same procedure but adds some extra tweaks

This is false. It’s like someone cutting and re-welding stuff on their car suspension and saying it is safer than OEM because it started with a suspension built and tested by an engineering team but just adds some extra tweaks.

Anyone else still running a version of #Bitcoin Core beginning with 0._? #asknostr
