Is perfectionism born of vanity? 🤔

I think so.

I heard someone today say, “a vain pursuit of perfection,” meaning it couldn’t be achieved. But it got me to thinking about the other meaning of “vain.” One of those “huh” moments.

Yeah, a guitarist I jam with is never willing to play a live show because he thinks the songs aren't good enough yet (for our friends and family to see!?!) ... It's been 4 years jamming with him 😂

Wonderful question? Thank you for this!

Thanks! It’s been sitting there in the back of my mind since I thought of it. There might be something there?

Or maybe everything is as it should be (“perfect”), but the desire for vanity creates the illusion that nothing can be perfect. Creating that negative loop that forces one to “chase perfection”.

You got my mind going 🤪

I forgot to mention the word “feedback” before “loop”.

Ohhh… there’s a twist!
