Idk I actually agree with Elftummy though. I’ve been doing multi family housing for 12 years.
People are literally shit and treat properties so badly. Sometimes the quick fix is all the tenants are worth.
That being said, it’s very income dependent. Higher end places typically do things properly/follow building codes.
Idk there are some shit head landlords but there are a lot more shithead tenants.
This mold one - an actually repair would involve 1000s of dollars of work and would displace the tenant causing even more expenses - plus it’s a roof leak on a 95 year old building so “solving this probably correctly” could very well be a 250k expense.
Idk just some perspective. 🤷🏻♂️
