In thinking about the ideals that draw us to Nostr, I came up with three essentials:

1) Authenticity - We want to interact with other people without being bombarder by a bunch of bots.

2) Anonymity - Nym first. No paying for verification with identity revealing credit card payments of $8/mo (Twitter πŸ‘€), and definitely no government id’s (gtfoh FB)

3) Autonomy - Protocols over Platforms. No censorious centralized authorities or ad-based incentive structures manipulating our behaviors to manufacture consent or drive profits.

All three, bot free. That's the dream. I know we'll make it happen.

Reminds me of Dan Pink

- Autonomy – A desire to be self directed, it increases engagement over compliance.

- Mastery – The urge to get better skilled.

- Purpose – The desire to do something that has meaning and is important

Nice. Hey… I followed up yesterday to a brief telegram discussion you and I had awhile back about app specific notes. Basically I outlined how I’m handling them in the Verified Human app. I said I’d let you know what I came up with, and well, I wanted to keep my word. :-)
