No problem. Most of my digital art is done in procreate, using either an iPad with Apple Pencil or iPhone with my finger.
It is all 2D completely flat images, and I often use shadows to attempt to simulate a 3-D depth effect.
I also make extensive use of layers to designate, where specific effects will be limited to.
So, in the case of that cosmic blueberry, it is a flat circle and I have a few layers of clipping masks, which allows me to add texture to the “surface” crossing the boundaries of the circle. And it looks like a sphere because of the dark shadowing I drew at the base of it.
I often like to mess with the intensity of a color on a specific top layer to give a feeling of vibrancy or shimmering if it feels right.
But despite all that these are completely 2d flat images, and once I draw, a shape like a circle or a triangle or whatever I can’t mess with the edges later, like you could in a vector drawing program.
Thanks for asking 🫰
