Controversial take….

Trying to band-aid and upgrade our existing global grid scale energy system is similar (in many ways) to trying to band-aid and upgrade our existing global fiat monetary system.

Both are fragile, inefficient, centralised control systems that are headed for the dustbin of history. Yes, of course, we absolutely need them (short term) during this transition period, lest the world collapse into a “Mad Max” dystopia.

However, if we are to advance beyond this current stage of human civilisation, (which is so obviously in its final stage of collapse) we will need to build interlocking, yet largely independent, local ecosystems of resilience and sustainability with Bitcoin as the base layer of economic/societal value transfer and co-ordination, with increasingly cheap and abundant energy generated and USED locally on the layer immediately above.

This is not the “pipe dream” it may seem. The tech cost curves are coming into coherence as we speak. At all scales. Bitcoin mining is the tool that brings this all together.

It will be a challenging, yet exciting, next decade as we feel our way into this “new world”. 🌎 ⚡️

There will undoubtedly be lots of frustration and set backs along the way as we learn and assimilate to this massively new paradigm. That being said, I’m more hopeful than I’ve ever been for humanity in my 56 years on this rock. 🙏🏻

Interesting. Problems I didn't know existed. Being around a company that actively seeks to avoid the 4CPs and seemingly gets better at it every year... passes an unproportional transmission cost burden down to loads that are smaller. Makes sense.
