The same can happen on twitter. It can happen anywhere. I’ve had it happen. It takes one second to block. There’s no perfect way to stop mentally ill people from stalking. Just ignore or block if it gets too bad
True. If I'm not mistaken insta has some feature to block someone based on their IP or something? Of course nothing that requires a personal info other than the keys could be implemented here.
Block by IP address? That’s wild, I didn’t know that was a thing. I’d assume most bitcoiners have a vpn. Why are you concerned with stalkers though? Comments go by and they’re gone. It’s much less of an issue here than anywhere else IMO. Ignore, block, gfy, keep it moving. Spread love and zaps…Simple
I'm not sure how insta does it, but it lets you block the account and others the user may create. Regarding the stalker thing, I'm just used to look for potential flaws beforehand. To me it looks like it could be a problem both for private texting and for public texting. For example, an annoying dude would destroy a public profile with little effort just by flooding it with stuff. That's a threat, especially if the social is going to bring here people's personal lives, thus public appearance. Centralized socials can at least ban, or mute, or prevent bad behavior against another user, or even act legally. I don't think it is possible to delete things up here
