One thing I fucked up when deciding to become a limited partner in several Bitcoin VC funds was not realizing how much I'd hate being contractually obligated to sell BTC in order to fulfill capital calls throughout the bear market.

Love the honesty. Best to view VC investments into BTC companies as funding ecosystem development that will help network effects of BTC and therefore help long-term price.
Measuring VC investment against opp cost of holding BTC in cold storage seems to be futile, possibly save 1 in 1000.
Did you realize that there is the contractual obligation when you signed? I haven't heard about VC funds enforcing investment...
