New AZ80s arrived today. Cannot tell you how much I missed them. LDAC Hi-Res audio (up to 990 kbps at 32 bits/96 kHz), conch fit, outstanding noise reduction and call quality. Great audiophile sound quality for Bluetooth. Worth every penny. Highly recommend.

Nice! Are there any wired earbuds that you have found to be good? I haven’t really been happy with any that I’ve tried in the past and much prefer good over ear headphones but would like some decent earbuds for travel.

Unfortunately, I haven't. Admittedly , I haven't looked very hard. I stick to my trusty Sony pro stereo monitor MDR-7506s as far as wired is concerned. Love the neutral balanced sound.

I’ve got a set of Hifiman HE-560s which are the main wired pair that I use. They probably aren’t as neutral as those Sonys but are very clean and detailed. They sound best with a decent headphone amp though so aren’t great for portable use. I’ll have to have another look into what wired earbud options are available now.

Do they require an app?

AFAIK, they do not require the app, but it significantly enhances their functionality. A phone is a tracking device (even with VPN enabled), so I'm not too worried about it. I would not use it with a bug-out phone, but that's an entirely different discussion.

Yeah, that's fair. I was just curious. Not really a fan of in-ears overall, but I've been using them a bit more recently and getting a better pair would be kind of nice.

The first week I had them, I was not used to the conch fit, and my ears were a little uncomfortable with extended use. Two weeks later, it completely went away. When the dog eliminated my first pair a couple of weeks ago, I tried to go back to my old Apples (I used to love the fit) as a stop-gap, and it was like night and day. I can't imagine going back at this point, so I bought them again, and it's like a warm (sound) bath. IMHO, you can't beat them at this price range.

Looks like they are available on Amazon.

Seems expensive though.

Should be more like this price.

Whoaaa... very expensive! 😳

They retail in the States for $297.99 and are still on sale for $197.99 right now. It would definitely be cheaper to get them through other channels. There's no way I would pay ₹44,999 for them.

Gm, those are really nice. I remember Technics from the turntables they made.

I wonder how they fit and if they are heavy and might tend to want to fall out. Kinda pricy. Do you have some and if so, how do you like them?

Thx🤓
