What if the reason for the governments' ridiculous spending spree, is because they have understood that fiat is worthless and want to make it obvious enough to normies, so we can transitition to a ฿itcoin standard?

It's not necessarily altruism. They might want to use internal resources (self-printed fiat money) to improve their standing within the international system, e.g. by subsidizing certain industries, before the inevitable fiat collapse finally happens.
