You may just need to follow more. Try looking at someone's profile who you are interested in and follow some of their follows.

Thank you for your reply. I do not get when a post of mine everyone can read and when not. The APP Amtehyst still overwhelms me a little. But I will continue to learn how it works.
Everyone can choose to see your post but only if they are following you or if they see your message in 'Global'. Global can be spammy, so it is tough for new users, but it's a feed of everything. You can also follow a hashtag like #grownostr or #plebchain to get started finding people to follow.
