Question that I have not thought through, but I am curious if the idea has been raised before....

Is a spot ETF an L2?

Personally if it could be I would say it's shitty L2 with a risk profile I don't accept. But I think it might technically be a layer?

Not unless you can receive in kind distributions which does not seem to be the case
