The delete button is one of the greatest lies by every big tech company. None of your data is ever deleted by any of them, they just flag it as deleted in their database so that it doesn't show up on client applications.

Seems like that is almost word for word what Snowden said in his book too. 🤣 I remember when my parents got their first windows computer and it had windows 95 or 97, the first time I realized that the pictures that I’d save and delete were still accessible to those in my family that knew how to find them, thankfully for me, they didn’t even know how to set the time on the vcr so I was safe
As someone who works at a Fortune 500, this is true.
Seems that since we are paying for their services with our data, that it should be completely deleted. Paying for a service means they have to do what is being marketed.
Ashley Madison had a big problem with this.
They call that the “soft delete” in the biz.
