What a feeling this must be. On one hand, I’m not surprised at all—I’ve always known you had it in you. But on the other hand, I’m incredibly excited and proud of everything you’ve accomplished.
I may not believe in fate—I don’t accept the idea of not being in control of my life—but from the moment I met you, I knew you were destined for great things. It’s not something you can easily explain; it’s something you feel. And I feel it deep in my bones.
As amazing as it is to be the winningest goalie in WHL history, I know this is just the beginning for you. There’s so much more ahead, and I can’t wait to witness all of it. I can already envision the accolades to come—but I also know none of it will come easy. You’ll have to earn every bit of it.
And when things get tough, just know we’ll always be here for you. We believe in you—always have, and always will.
