how long salmon oven
Discussion
Whole salmon or filet?
I usually go 450 for 8-10 min for filets.
15-20 minutes usually.
Broil for the last few minutes
idk but you hardly have to cook salmon even at all, unless its frozen then you want to raise it above boiling point for 15 minutes for safety reasons
it's so easy to eat even when it's raw, you won't mind if it's a little under-done
Broil with ample butter, salt / season after cooking. Will take 10-12 minutes depending on thickness of filet. There is no better way to cool fish than broil period. Baking substantially reduces quality of outcome.
I broil as a finish, after the oven bake. You just broil the whole time?
Yeah but you need a broil pan to do it right. Wait for the over to get hot (close the door for a couple minutes previous to putting fish into the over), broil fish within a few inches of the burner. The fish will turn out browned, moist, flakey, and perfectly cooked.
Nice, I'll give it a shot next time. I usually bake first, then broil to get the right texture.
Bakes quicker than you would think. Throw some butter and herbs in a tin foil pouch, wrap it up so the moisture is contained. Hit it with the lemon after baking. You won’t be disappointed!
