I know I'm in the minority but I feel like physical combat sports like MMA UFC wrestling and such are so primitive. Human beings shouldn't be subjecting themselves to this in the 21st century. Its coliseum type behavior. Animalistic. Robot wars should be the norm. I think less of people that watch fighting for entertainment. Monkey brains.

Muay Thai and BJJ are 100% the best thing I do for my mind and body. Away from work, family, life. Just me and another guy trying to use the mind, strength, and flexibility to defeat the other person in 'combat'.

The people I know who try to always carry firearms are insecure pussies that can’t defend themselves or their families. Half of them would lose in a life threatening situation even with a gun. If the world wasn’t so easy now they would’ve never made it to adulthood.

Maybe it's just the community I'm in, but the best firearms experts I've met have also been the best martial artists. Fighting is fighting whether your weapons are fists, arms, or firearms. I believe in learning to fight barehanded before venturing into weapons because it builds a disciplined mindset and sets a baseline for when you inevitably lose the weapon.
But fighting on the ground is for weebs. Great way to get killed.

I'm not sure, but my town has an annual Robo Brawl event (presumably the name BattleBots is copyrighted). They're not as big as battle bots, but some of the people who built battle bots are there showing off their 300 lb monsters.
This is one of the benefits of living in a college town with a strong engineering program. 🙂

Hear here! I agree. When I was a young man I never subjected my body to unnatural forces. Never broke any bones. Yet I worked and worked hard. This kept me in good shape. I also don't have a need to watch sports or anything of that type as I occupy my mind with real tangible projects in my life. I guess know I just have to figure out how to keep that which I produce!
I have practices jiu jitsu for several years and can count on 1 hand the number of fights I've watched.
Yes, I never said learning to fight is dumb. Just watching people fight.
