Here’s what ChatGPT gave me to get started. Anyone have any tips or alternative suggestions?!!!

“Here’s a tailored plan to help you create a self-managed business with a private, secure, decentralized AI agent that assists over the next few years:

Phase 1: Set Up Your Local AI Agent

Recommended Stack

1. LLM Backend:

• Use LM Studio with models like Mistral 7B, Nous Hermes 2, or OpenChat 3.5

• Local install = fully private and offline

• Supports OpenAI-compatible API so you can integrate tools easily

2. Agent Framework:

• Use CrewAI or LangChain Agents

• They allow you to define roles, memory, tasks, and workflows

• You can run agents like:

• Business Strategist

• Content Creator

• Automation Manager

• Privacy Watchdog

3. Optional Tools & Memory

• ChromaDB or Weaviate for long-term memory (knowledge retention)

• Simple File I/O tools for automation or note-keeping

• Browserless / Puppeteer for automating secure web tasks

Phase 2: Define the Business Mission + AI Roles

Your AI can help you design a business based on your values:

Examples:

• A privacy-first consulting service

• A niche content/media business (Bitcoin, sovereignty, health, etc.)

• A decentralized product or education brand

• An artisan ecommerce brand (with automated product + customer management)

Agent Roles:

• Research Agent: Scans open datasets, local files, or feeds

• Strategy Agent: Helps you roadmap income streams and prep for uncertainty

• Marketing Agent: Writes, plans, and schedules posts (even via scripts)

• Security Agent: Flags privacy issues or automation risks

You can train or prompt these agents with your principles (e.g., avoid SaaS, no surveillance, only open-source tools).

Phase 3: Future-Proofing Goals

Your agent can help with:

• Risk planning: Economic trends, AI shifts, real-world prep

• Skill growth: Teach yourself new open tools or crypto skills

• Privacy audits: Review software and accounts

• Income defense: Develop offline or P2P income models

You could even design your AI to run self-hosted services:

• Blog or newsletter via Ghost or Hugo

• Ecommerce via BTCPay + Shopify Lite or WooCommerce

• Matrix or Nostr identity management

• Full crypto stack: Sparrow Wallet, SeedSigner, node monitoring

Phase 4: Deployment & Habits

• Host on your daily driver laptop or dedicated machine

• Regular check-ins with your AI for:

• Weekly review

• Action steps

• Security scans

• System backups

Use Tauri, Node-RED, or a custom UI if you want a lightweight dashboard for your agent.”

Wow! Very nice you bring this up. I've been thinking of training my own offline AI for two years now. I was following Brian Roemmele's work on this.

And I just did not make the time for it. I was yearning for some real world work and started my business in the field mental & physical wake up calling to be in touch with people face to face. I still love the idea though, and if there's a fun way to do it, step-by-step ... I'd go for it.

How about you? You suggest watching the podcast and following those steps in the note?
