Has anyone used Robosats to purchase BTC? I'm attempting my first buy and I'd appreciate any feedback or advice on completing a successful transaction. The seller I'm contracted with accepts Wise money transfer as payment. I've setup a Wise account, and I'm now just waiting for them to respond to my locked contract.

Just be patient, sometimes it takes some time.

But I never had an issue with any trade I did. Always worked out well.

Patience has never been one of my virtues. Lol. I was able to get what I needed instantly on Cash App. Didn't even need to wait for confirmations. I had forgotten about buying BTC on Cash App until someone else reminded me.

yeah

+1

ive never had a problem

but its always taken a little time ๐Ÿ˜„

I feel kinda bad because the dude accepted my contract offer like 20min after I bought from Cash App. I requested a mutual cancellation, but if he refuses I'm OK with him keeping the sats I spent locking in the contract. I understand it's an inconvenience for him. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

yeah

lol

its always a learning experience at first.

Wise is pretty useful though. still KYC

but at least they don't know it a Bitcoin purchase.

The whole reason I was looking for a p2p buy was because my ID is expired so I can't use it for KYC. But I forgot that I already did the KYC thing with Cash App when I signed up so I was good to go. I really should have thought things through before jumping into a Robosats trade, but I was just focused on buying so I was sloppy. I'll know better for next time.

around here we have dark views about KYC buys ๐Ÿคจ

I'm generally not a fan of KYC, but it's a hell of a lot easier to make regular purchases through commercial outlets like Onramper or Cash App than it is to make a p2p buy. And it's cheaper, too. I only paid a 1% premium as opposed to the 5%+ that p2p sellers were looking for. One dude had a 25% premium on his offer.

you're paying with your data.

so I'd suggest it isn't actually cheaper.

the real price of BTC is that price that's 1-5% above the Conbase price.
