And the winner of the 5000 sats is nostr:npub1p7d65vwyy7p0n6eufx0335vdpek5263ksq0l068ajc6h0vpqragsgghgj2 !!!

With durability and simplicity as the core tenents my mate is going to stamp the seed phrases into metal and use a plus one pass phrase as nostr:npub1p7d65vwyy7p0n6eufx0335vdpek5263ksq0l068ajc6h0vpqragsgghgj2 suggested.

No hardware, no software, no internet, no firmware updates, no paper.

If my friend was not new to BTC himself I think he would have gone for a hardware wallet / seed plate / software solution but to keep things simple she’s going to receive a metal plate.

Thanks for contributing to the question and congrats! nostr:npub1p7d65vwyy7p0n6eufx0335vdpek5263ksq0l068ajc6h0vpqragsgghgj2

Congrats Blank!

Thanks man! 🫡

A metal or titanium plate remains the best solution over time. Maybe even an engraved seedQR, for ease of use.

I'd add a physical and digital copy of books about bitcoin, a hardware wallet that can read seedQR like a seed signer or coldcard, all wrapped up in a sealed pack that shouldn't be opened before 18 years. 🎁🔐

Ooft! Imagine how based of a present that would be!

On your 18th birthday Uncle Jim makes you grab a shovel, and start digging…

…You hit a pelican case quadruple wrapped in heavy plastic that’s air tight…

…Inside is a seedplate with 24 words and a seed plate with a QR code…

…There is also a copy of the Bitcoin standard, The Mandibles and a framed copy of the Bitcoin Whitepaper…

…Uncle Jim helps you recover the BTC to a software wallet…

…You then purchase your own home 🏠!!!…

Best uncle ever status achieved!

FYI:

In 18 years it will be the Year 2043.

We will have gone through another 4 #Bitcoin halvenings…

The block reward in the year 2044 will be 0.09765625 BTC

This will be just under double the gift amount of 5 millions sats!

It will be super interesting to see where this beast of a network is at in 18 years time :)

Hi Donny! I'm glad I could help. Thanks for the sats 🫡
