Stay on follows and never dive into For You and you shouldn't have a problem. What is Nostr except only Follows unless you dive into Global. In Global you will see whatever which may include even worse stuff. Nostr is still young but when it catches on you better believe Global will be really gross.

I know that, I've been using lists for Twitter for years, long before Follows even was a thing.

But it's a systemic issue. If one my follows uses the For You tab, they will inevitably retweet deranged content and flush it into my Follows tab as well.

So do you not think that will spread here in time? No, an algo won't be pushing it, but isn't society as a whole not just one big algo of car accidents gawkers and gossip spreaders?

I think Nostr is immune to this. At least that's my hope.
