Very useful if you know what you're doing and understand the code it writes. Dangerous in the wrong hands. It takes shortcuts that it shouldn't. Like using Math.random to generate a private key.

Yikes 😬. If you were teaching somebody to code, how long would you make them wait before letting them use an AI?

Good question, as I use it more and more today I find myself also “skipping over” some of the learning moments for the sake of time and efficiency. Which you could argue is high time preference behavior…

Part of me thinks make it immediate to get some early momentum… but another part of me thinks 6-9 months after they complete a beginner —> intermediate curriculum.

Yeah I think at least a year of actual experience would be ideal. It does feel like high time preference behavior. It’s so easy to become dependent on and it introduces subtle bugs if you aren’t super careful.

Yea I should clarify I’m using it right now for simple website building. Interesting and completely agree private key management & generation should be separate… anything that needs to be highly secure for that matter.
