There's no way that statistic is even remotely true. 1 in 4? I'm my town I'd say it's about 1 in 80. Maybe 1 in 100.

Seriously, I usually get blank stares if I ever mention Bitcoin in public.
It could be close to that, technically. I have lots of friends that may have just a little on an exchange along with shitcoins
However, none of them truly understand it’s significance at all
I'm also being (needlessly) pedantic - the majority of people who would be counted in any kind of polling don't self custody and in my mind that means they own IOUs and not the real asset.
