Nothing is untraceable, it all depends on the location of the snitch. Malicious tor exit nodes exist, and just like with Monero, there are ways to f it up quickly.

Yes, but all things equal which is less likely to be traced by default or range of mistakes that are possible? It would be disingenuous to say Bitcoin or LN

Correct. It would be disingenuous. It's much harder to not make mistakes with bitcoin and I still think bitcoin development could learn a lot from monero. But monero has problems of its own too, nothing is perfect.
