Requiring age verification means requiring an ID tied to your Internet interactions. In the UK, your identity is literally tied to your phone's sim card or home broadband connection if you want to access everything.

Texas and other states doing this are being super retard and don't realize (or maybe do realize?) they're pushing for more control over individuals on the Internet and the total loss of any anonymity.
